SYPA offer a comprehensive face to face pensions’ information service at all of its five offices across the County. The service is available to all scheme members, including active contributors, deferred and pensioner members and the dependants and/or relatives of deceased members. It is also available to employees who have not yet joined the scheme but are thinking of doing so.
Appointments can be made online by following the links from this page to the booking calendars for the five offices concerned. All appointments are for a duration of one hour. Please note that for the sake of others using this service staff cannot allow appointments to over-run their allotted time. Where your appointment session runs out of time but you have more queries you will be offered a return visit to complete your business.
There are no longer any walk-in or drop-in appointments at any of our offices unless the matter is one of urgency. You do not need to book an appointment to report a death of a member. There are also no appointments available between the hours of 12-00 noon and 2-00 pm at any of our venues to allow for office cover over the lunch periods when there are fewer staff available.
Where appointments are made because you are retiring then you can help the process by ensuring that all forms are completed prior to attendance unless you have specific difficulties with them. Staff will assist where this is the case but will not routinely help to complete forms. Please remember to bring the originals of any certificates that you have been asked to supply.

- • Appointments (and cancellations) can only be made 7 days or more in advance.
- • You will receive an email notification upon booking and also a reminder 1 day prior to your Appointment
- • You may cancel your appointment at any time up to 7 days prior to the actual appointment date. If your appointment is scheduled within the next 7 days and you wish to cancel, please get in touch with the local office where you made the appointment.
