On 1 June 2004 a new Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure (IDRP) for the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) came into force. For the purposes of this booklet we will call these rules the 'dispute rules'. Briefly, this means that if you wish to dispute any decision that has been made in relation to the Scheme, your first step is to complain to whoever you feel is at fault, either your employer or ourselves, South Yorkshire Pensions Authority (SYPA). This booklet and form is only for disputes against decisions made by SYPA. For all other disputes, please contact your employer directly.

If, on joining the Scheme they tell us they are interested in having a transfer of those rights, we send this booklet to the member on actioning their request.
