SYPA are committed to complying with the Disability Discrimination Act and have made significant improvements to our website in order to reduce the barriers experienced by people with disabilities. In accordance with central Government guidelines it is SYPA's policy to create pages to W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We have ran extensive testing validate our web pages, so they are accessible for the browsers that this website supports. If you find any of our pages inaccessible to you please let us know and we will make every reasonable effort to either remove the barrier or provide the information in a format that you find acceptable.

AA text size

Our site has been set up using relative font sizing so this size will be based on the size you currently have set in your browser.
To change the size of the text - click on one of the 3 'A's on the top right of the screen. Or, if you wish to change the size of the text and images, you may do so using your keyboard keys 'CTRL' and '-' to decrease the size or 'CTRL' and '+' to increase the size.

How to change the size of the text only:

  • Firefox:  Tools >> Options >> Content
  • Google Chrome:  Toolbar >>  Control the current page >> Text Zoom
  • IE:  View >> Text Size
  • Netscape:  View >> Text Zoom
  • Opera:  View >> Zoom
  • Safari:  View >> Make Text Bigger

The main sections of the website are listed across the top. Choosing a menu option from the top then produces a sub menu drop-down list.

There is a breadcrumbs trail at the top of the screen which shows you the pages you have currently accessed to get to the page you are currently viewing. The breadcrumbs links can also be used to backtrack to previous pages.

At the top right of the screen there is a search facility, where you may search for webpages and documents using a keyword search.
