SYPA offer a face to face pensions’ information service at all of its four offices across the County if you would prefer to deal with any queries you have in person rather than by phone, email or online. The service is available to all scheme members, including active contributors, deferred and pensioner members and the dependants and/or relatives of deceased members. It is also available to employees who have not yet joined the scheme but are thinking of doing so.


If you are retiring and have copies of documents that need to be provided such as birth or marriage certificates, it should not be necessary to attend an appointment because we prefer to receive photocopies or scanned copies of these documents. This minimises the risk of original documents being mislaid. 

Appointments can be made online by following the links from this page to the booking calendars for the four offices concerned.


If you have requested an appointment, our staff may contact you ahead of the booking to check if it is necessary for you to attend or whether we can resolve your enquiry more effectively by phone/email or by sending you the information you require.  

All appointments are set for a duration of one hour but most enquiries can be resolved much quicker. Please note that for the sake of others using this service staff cannot allow appointments to over-run their allotted time. In the unlikely event your appointment session runs out of time but you have more queries you will be offered a return visit to complete your business.


There are no appointments available between the hours of 12-00 noon and 2-00 pm at any of our venues to allow for office cover over the lunch periods when there are fewer staff available.

Please note:

  • •    Appointments (and cancellations) can only be made 7 days or more in advance.
  • •    You will receive an email notification upon booking and also a reminder 1 day prior to your Appointment
  • •    You may cancel your appointment at any time up to 7 days prior to the actual appointment date. If your appointment is scheduled within the next 7 days and you wish to cancel, please get in touch with the local office where you made the appointment.
