Apology for Formatting Issue in Recent Member Newsletter

We would like to apologise to members for a formatting error affecting the most recent newsletter. Unfortunately, this issue means that when the newsletter is opened in some desktop email platforms, the title text appears white and is not visible.

SYPA In Focus 2025 – Watch Our Latest Member Update

Following the success of last year’s SYPA In Focus video, which was viewed by over 3,000 members, we’re pleased to share this year’s update.
SYPA In Focus 2025 is a short video designed to keep you informed about SYPA’s latest developments, investment performance, and key updates from the past year. It replaces our traditional Annual General Meeting (AGM), giving our members and other stakeholders the flexibility to stay up to date at a time and place that suits you

Ahead of this year’s video, we invited members to submit questions, which over 100 of you did. Many of these have been answered directly in the video, and we’ve also published a downloadable Q&A document that addresses additional topics raised. (This can be downloaded using the button at the end of the article)

If you haven't joined our online sessions before please follow the steps below to set up a free account to view the session.
If you’re new to our pension sessions, you will need to create a free account with Vimeo in order to view the online live stream of the presentation and to submit your questions using the chat function during the session.
How do I register?
It takes just a few minutes to register and its free to do, we suggest doing this about 10 minutes before the session starts to give you time to get logged in.
Follow our 5 easy steps below to get started:
- You will need to either click the link for the event on the email we have previously sent inviting you to the session, and you will get a log in / sign up pop up or click here: https://vimeo.com/ and use the grey ‘join’ button in the top right of the screen.
- From here you can register by entering your name, email address and then you will set a password which must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least one number and one symbol. For example: password9!
- It will then log you in, if you accessed through the link for the session, you will be ready to go on the right screen.
- If not, you will need to find that link on your emails and then you may need to log in again using your new Vimeo account details.
- You will then see the screen that will show the presentation. If that chat box isn’t already open, click on the ‘chat’ icon on the right hand side of the screen to open up the chat box to ask any questions you may have during the presentation.
If you can't make it a recording will be available on the website after the session and we will send out our dates in January for the 2026 pension sessions.
