At South Yorkshire Pensions Authority we value our employees and are interested in proactively working to improve the wellbeing of everyone who works here. We have a generous rewards and benefits package available to our employees and are always looking for new ways in which we can support them.

We have a generous annual leave policy that offers between 28 days and 36 days annual leave depending on length of service and you can accrue up to 13 extra days leave by utilising Flexitime. In addition, we also close the office for all Statutory Bank Holidays (8 days).

Our flexible working hours policy allows you to work your contracted hours to suit both you and the team that you are working in. We allow employees to work any time between 7am – 7pm (although can change depending on your role) We also offer hybrid working for up to 3 days per week after your probation period.

You will automatically be enrolled into the LGPS (Local Government Pension Scheme) with us contributing 19% of your annual salary into the scheme, regardless of whether you are in the main or 50/50 section.

We offer a range of well-being initiatives including fresh fruit, tea, coffee. We also provide annual flu jab vouchers and allow you to claim back costs such as VDU eye tests. We host special guest webinars that help you achieve a work/life balance & organise regular social mixers.

If you drive to work, you do not need to worry about car parking fees as we have free on-site parking available. Once you have joined us, all you need to do is share your registration number with HR.

We are dedicated to making sure our employees have enough time to maintain a good balance between home and the workplace. We offer 100% pay for six weeks of Paternity Leave. For Maternity/ Adoption Leave, we offer the first 26 weeks at 100% pay, weeks 27-39 at Statutory Maternity pay & weeks 40-52 are unpaid.
